Three defences

  • Long lasting durability

Resists weathering, oxidation, mild acids and alkali solutions.

  • Termite defence

Added termite-resistance formula protects against termite attack.

  • Fungal defence

Protection against fungal growth and surface deterioration.

Product description

Waterproof, but still breathing

PRIME GUARD WOOD SEAL is a premium protective coating formulated for wooden door frames, wooden window frames and plywood surfaces. It is designed for application on wood that comes into direct contact with walls, concrete and masonry.

The formula creates a durable moisture-blocking barrier that reduces absorption from the surrounding structure, and its built-in termite protection technology helps guard the timber against termite attack, extending the service life of every wooden component.

The result is wood that keeps its strength, stability and appearance, with far less moisture-related deterioration and termite damage.

How Wood Seal works

  • It penetrates down to the cellular level of the wood, creating a highly hydrophobic (water-repellent) barrier.

  • That barrier keeps moisture out while remaining breathable, so moisture already inside the timber is not trapped behind the film.

  • The added termite-resistance formula protects the wood against termite attack.

  • It also protects against fungal growth and surface deterioration, and resists weathering, oxidation, mild acids and alkali solutions.

“Direct apply”: suitable for

  • Door frames
  • Window frames
  • Wooden partitions
  • Plywood
  • Wooden floors

Protection process

Five steps, start to finish

  1. 01

Apply WOOD SEAL to the wood surface.

  2. 02

It forms a moisture-blocking protective barrier.

  3. 03

    Moisture penetration is reduced.

  4. 04

The wood is protected against termite attack.

  5. 05

The life of the wooden component is extended.

Application

Two coats, every single side

Important: apply both coats to all sides of the wood or plywood, with special attention to the surfaces that will be in direct contact with walls, concrete, flooring or masonry. Those hidden faces are where moisture, termites and premature deterioration start.

  1. 1

    Prepare the timber

The wood must be clean and dry, free from dust, oil, grease and loose particles. Never coat wet wood.

  2. 2

Stir, then apply the first coat

Stir thoroughly before use, then apply an even coat with a brush or roller. A PRIME GUARD brush gives the best result.

  3. 3

Wait 2–3 hours, apply the second coat

Let the first coat dry completely, 2–3 hours to recoat, then apply the second coat for maximum protection.

  4. 4

    Check every face

Confirm complete coverage on all sides, especially the surfaces in contact with walls or concrete.

  5. 5

Allow 5–8 hours for hard dry

Allow sufficient curing, 5–8 hours for a hard dry, before installation or finishing.
