PRIME GUARD RUST SHIELD is a high-performance protective coating formulated for steel door frames, steel window frames, truss works and structural steel components.
The advanced formula creates a durable moisture-blocking barrier that helps prevent water and moisture reaching the metal surface. By reducing moisture exposure, RUST SHIELD helps protect steel against rust, corrosion and premature deterioration.

Directions for use
De-rust first, then two coats

Clean the steel
The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, rust and loose particles.

Remove existing rust
Take off any existing rust with a wire brush, sandpaper or another suitable cleaning method before coating.

Stir, then apply the first coat
Stir the product thoroughly, then apply an even coat, including the contact area between the wall and the metal frame.

Wait 2–3 hours, apply the second coat
Allow the first coat to dry for 2–3 hours, then apply the second coat.

Cure, then install
Wait 5–8 hours for a hard dry. Install or finish the frame only after the coating has properly cured.
Do not
- Apply on wet surfaces.
- Coat over loose rust or mill scale.
- Install the frame before the coating has cured.
- Leave the container open between coats.
