Damp does not start in the middle of a wall. It starts at the joint, where a concrete belt, a timber frame or a steel section meets masonry. PRIME GUARD LACCO+ is a three-part barrier system built for exactly those points.

The failure point
Three materials. One weakness.
Concrete wicks water. Wood drinks it. Steel corrodes in it. Where those materials are built into masonry, moisture crosses the joint and the damage starts out of sight, long before a stain appears on the paint.
-
Dampness in the wall
Moisture travels out of concrete basement belts and frames into the masonry beside them, blistering paint, softening plaster and leaving salt bloom behind.

-
Termites and rot in timber
The face of a frame buried in the wall never dries. That damp, dark contact surface is where termites and fungal growth begin, on the side nobody paints.

-
Rust behind the render
Steel frames and truss members hold moisture against themselves at every embedded contact point. Corrosion expands, cracks the render and stains the wall.

How it works
A barrier at the joint
Each product bonds into its own substrate and forms a continuous film at the contact face. Water arriving from the wall side meets that film and stops. What sits behind stays dry, stable and structurally sound.
-
01
Prepare the surface
Clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, rust and loose particles. Repair cracked concrete; wire-brush existing rust off steel.
-
02
Apply the first coat
Stir well, then brush or roller an even coat directly onto the substrate. No primer. Cover every face that will contact wall, concrete or flooring.
-
03
Recoat after 2–3 hrs
The second coat is what completes the barrier. On timber it is not optional: both coats go on all sides.
-
04
Hard dry, then install
Allow 5–8 hours for a hard dry and full cure before fixing, finishing or any exposure to water.

Why Prime Guard
Built for the way India builds
-
Blocks moisture transfer
The one mechanism behind all three products: stop water crossing the joint.
-
Direct apply
Straight onto concrete, timber or steel. Brush or roller, no separate primer coat.
-
Strong adhesion
Bonds into the substrate rather than sitting on it, so the film stays put.
-
Same-day schedule
Recoat in 2–3 hours, hard dry in 5–8. Frames can be prepped and fixed without losing days.
-
New build or renovation
Specify it at construction stage, or use it to stop an existing damp problem getting worse.
-
One system, three substrates
A single specification covers every junction on site instead of three unrelated products.
On the tin
Everything you need is printed on it
Each 1 litre tin carries the full method, the timings, the safety guidance and a QR code that resolves to the batch reference number, so what is in your hand can always be traced.
